Are you a student in the field of aerospace engineering and looking for an internship in Southern Germany?

We are looking for a sharp individual (m/f/d) to help us to drive our technology projects during an internship!

 

Who we are:

Kabamba Aerospace GmbH was founded in 2008 by Joachim Kabamba and is specializing in engine maintenance consulting, borescope inspections, engine spare part sales, Power by the hour calculations and expert witness statements. We are not depending on any engine manufacturer, major airline, or maintenance company. We have extensive expertise in engine shop visits.

We support airlines and corporate operators around the world regarding the maintenance of their aircraft engines. As a small but specialized company, we aim to be the go-to place for airlines operating less than ten aircraft.

 

Main tasks:

  1. Elaboration of a mathematical model (vs. graphical) to verify performance parameters of P&WC PW127M and PW127XT engines
  2. Elaboration of the technical, regulatory and financial requirements to establish a destructive testing laboratory for turbine engine rotary airfoils
  3. Extension of our proprietary Power-By-The-Hour (PBTH) calculation app „AHEAD“ to include shop visit staggering and an engine component failure model (Visual Basic/programming knowledge required)

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken (minimum level B2)
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs and internet services

Ideally, you are in the finals of your aviation studies. Knowledge and experience with turbine engines are welcome, however not a must. There is an opportunity for a long-term employment with Kabamba Aerospace GmbH in Schwetzingen, Germany, if your personality and skills match the ambitions of our company.

The internship is scheduled to start in April 2025 at our office in Schwetzingen (near Heidelberg), Germany and it should last for three months. In compensation for your efforts, we will pay 1.000 EUR per month (required working time per week: 40 hrs).
