Student assistant (m/f/d)

Paebbl

Help us remove millions of tons of CO2 from the atmosphere by 2035!

We need you to run experiments, document and analyze the results and suggest improvements.

Your profile:

  • You are studying material sciences, mechanical engineering, or chemistry here at Aachen
  • You are a strong communicator and fluent in English
  • You enjoy tinkering with hardware
  • You are a self-starter and enjoy working independently
  • You are detail oriented

Your work:

During two weeks of April or May we’re planning 10 experiments here at the University of Aachen. Each will run for 6-8 hours. You’ll load the autoclave reactor, keep an eye on it for a few hours while perhaps studying or just taking it easy – and then unload the reactor and record the results.

Offer: 20 EUR/hour

About us:

Paebbl is a privately funded CO2 repurposing
startup. You have probably never heard of us,
we’re still in stealth mode.

We’ll use the material produced by weathering silicate materials to make products the world needs. These products contain stored CO2. Our placeholder website is www.paebbl.com.

CO2 mineralization works. Each ton of weathered olivine captures up to 1 ton of CO2 for geologic time. With your help, we will accelerate the olivine/CO2 reaction in an industrial process to capture more CO2, faster.

We will collaborate with Aachen for many years, and will establish our first research and development center nearby in the summer of 2022.
