In the group »Digital Infrastructures«, we deal with the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies to enhance connectivity and data management within industrial environments. Our focus includes designing robust network architectures, integrating IoT devices, and leveraging cloud computing to optimize production processes.
As a student assistant you support our team with software development tasks for an industrial connectivity hub, aimed at enhancing the connectivity of IIoT devices and industrial machines, enabling seamless communication and data exchange across different platforms. Your responsibilities will include assisting in developing, testing, and debugging software modules, as well as contributing to the integration of APIs that facilitate machine-to-machine interaction.
Here you partly work on your tasks on site in our institute / in our machine park, with remote work being possible as well.
What you will do
- Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining software components for the industrial connectivity hub
- Contribute to the integration of APIs for seamless interoperability between diverse industrial machines
- Collaborate with team members to develop a digital twin of a fuel cell production line
- Engage in research for emerging industrial connectivity solutions
What you bring to the table
- You are studying mechanical engineering, computer science, CES or a comparable subject
- Solid background in software development
- Experience with container and orchestration technologies is advantageous
- A high degree of motivation, independence, and team spirit
- Good language skills in German and/or English
